The Vegetables In Your Share This Week of May 26th:

  • Baby Red Bok Choi or Hakurei Turnips - these white salad turnips can be eaten raw, also delicious roasted
  • Purple Dragon Carrots - different from our other purple carrots
  • Golden Beets
  • Osaka Purple Mustard Greens - slice raw in salads for hot taste, cooking lessens heat
  • Chinese Watermelon Radishes - beautiful red-pink centers, sweet then hot taste
  • Parsnips
  • Bianca de Maggio White Cippolini Onions - Italian heirloom, mild onion
  • Italian Parsley - try it chopped in tuna or egg salad, great for juicing

YOUR SHARE of SPRING HARVEST Week Two

Your vegetables for Week Two deliveries on Saturday, May 5th or Tuesday, May 8th.
  • Leeks - To clean, slice in rounds and soak in cool water, or slice lengthwise and rinse.
  • Osaka Purple Mustard Greens - A little heat before summer! Great sliced raw in salads or steamed for a milder flavor.
  • Chiogga Beets with Beet Greens - Makes attractive red and white striped pattern when sliced in rounds.
  • Cosmic Purple Carrots - Closer to its wild carrot roots.
  • Saturday: "Negro" Fava/Broad Beans - Steam or saute smallest pods whole, shell larger pods for buttery beans / Tuesday: Costata Romanesco Zucchini - Traditional Italian Heirloom
